My Soul Revealed

Written by Sarah Kathryn Murphy.

If I could have one wish, it would be for you to see me,
For you to know the pain I gain from this anger and shame.
For it to be real so you would feel exactly how I feel.
To know my gain is such a shame for it is I who am to blame.
My mistakes are atrocious and my attitude is bad.
I lost my true joy and happiness too.
In search of this world I found it not, but I did find love greater than all
so rich and handsome and tall. A love of my own, for he loves us all.
To Jesus I call my love, my lord, my master, my all.
The shame and the blame I can no longer claim
for Jesus is lord and He knows my Soul.
To Him I give thanks to Him on high who saves, my God, my Soul, my all.
So to you who see with spiritual eyes my soul to you revealed;
To all who read know this for sure;
I’m not perfect but I’m pure and that’s for sure
for He cleansed me from sin and made me whole again.
If you want this love, its yours you just ask
The author of love wants to write a love story with you.
All it takes is for you to ask and receive
and you shall find The LOVE so great like mine!
I love ya’ll and I’m praying for you
~In Him~

Faith

Written by Ashley Helms.

What is faith???? It is that thing you wish you could have in your best friend, so that you could tell them that juicy secret. It is that thing that you have in your parents that tells you that they will supply your every need. That is what earthly faith means, but what does heavenly faith mean???? That is the big question. Hebrews 11:1 says that “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen.” What???? Ok, faith is made up of all that stuff we hope for, and it proves all things that we can’t see. When we sit down in our desk, we have to have faith that it will hold us up. It is the same way with the Lord. We have to have faith that He will hold us up, get us through those hard times and be there for us when we need Him.

Los Pedazos del Corazon (Pieces of the Heart)

Written by Heidi Benstead.

Even though we were strangers, you let us in,
with open arms embraced us.
We didn’t speak the same language,
but you somehow understood, as did we;
for a smile never needs interpretation.
You showed us your way of life.
We longed for its simplicity.
We thought we could teach you things,
but instead found ourselves learning.
Your passion, your devotion
proved you far wealthier that we.
and reflected in the burning desire of your eyes
we were made to face our own complacency.
For eleven days we stepped into your world,
not knowing how hard it would be to leave.
Who knew hearts could bond in time so short.
You presented us with precious pottery.
We each left you a piece of our hearts.
As we hugged goodbye, every eye glistened with unshed tears.
Rolling down our cheeks and splashing to the ground—
our tears—they watered the seeds we’d come to plant.

Let God Be Your Guide

Written by John Perry

Yesterday is not today; today is not tomorrow.
Unless we stop worrying
we will be consumed by our own sorrow.

The sorrow that destroys
becomes anguish that can kill,
so don't dwell on little problems.
Let the spiritual wounds heal.

Best friends will desert you.
Many people love to hate.
It seems you can't stop worrying.
Be patient and just wait.

For God will solve your problems.
All your wounds He can heal.
The journey through your life
should be left to His own will.

Awoke In the Dark

Written By Tara Bailey

Awoke in the dark
by the cries of the night.
The trace of fire on his breath grew stronger
as the screams grew louder.
When I saw it fly,
I knew all hope was gone.
Scared and confused,
I ran to my room.
Someone must have called
for the sirens came closer.
I stayed in my bed
as they took him away.
Not knowing when I'd see him again.
Now that it's over
and all years have gone by,
I've come to an agreement
with what has passed.
Father, I Love You.

Faithless Friend

Written by John Perry

They say friends are forever.
Forever they might be,
but when I think of my friends,
that bond I do not see.

One day it will be over.
I know it is coming soon.
Yet I hold onto this friendship
as if it will bloom.

Above the gray horizon
the faithful sun will set,
and my most unfaithful friends
will be consumed by their own debt.

The debt of which they nurtured,
the memories they have trashed,
deep down they too have realized
our friendship will never last.

Thanksgiving
1621 2001
men hunting men watching T.V.
women cooking women food shopping
children playing children playing
communities joined communities seperate
people laughing people laughing
children clapping children clapping
Indian's company enjoyed Family's company enjoyed
People with sorrow for the loved
ones they lost through out
the year
People with sorrow for the loved
ones they lost on Setp. 11
Bold new faces Same old faces
I am thankful that I am still here I am thankful Christmas is almost here
And I sit here and wonder what my great-great grandchildren will be thankful for at their thanksgiving And I sit here and wonder what my great-great grandchildren will be thankful for at their thanksgiving

Secrets Unknown

Written by Lauren Gordon

Attiscy flies like the wind in the sky.
Never loved
her love always dies.
A lonely child
lost in her life:
“Emotions run thick enough to be cut
By a knife."*

As a young Cherokee she set the beat.
Now as a Yengwe
she plays the song.
She is the song.
She rules the Park:
"Though I wear a shirt and tie,
I'm still part Red Man,
Deep inside."**
She is out of control.
Attiscy cannot be controlled.

Hawk holds her down,
keeps her alive.
Her final love--perhaps the most true.
Pray he doesn't die.

Rez made her choose.
She chose him--not
Todd's only anger
lost to painful deadly pleasure.
Kirk's wreck--
as they married.
John's was similar--
just coming to see her—gone.
Walker, she loved him as a child
but never loved him--
her daughter's father.

Sworn never to love again
Attiscy was lost:
"She says that love is for fools
that fall behind"**

Brotherhood of F-15's
saved her brothers.
Attiscy was MIA,
POW
chained to the floor
beaten, raped, starved
forgotten and hidden--by all but her brothers
finally rescued .

Questioned and questions for secrets unknown

Stubbed Toe

Written by Arthur Reimann

A dash to the hall
for a chicken dinner.
With a leap of faith
I clear my clothes pile.
I fling open the door,
but with a loud crack
and a burst of pain
my toe is bashed.
One toe, one big toe,
hurtin' like mad, bleedin' bad.
My poor mangled, mauled paw.
Tis years later,
and to my surprise,
contemplating my newly stubbed toe,
I miss the old days
when they didn't hurt
so bad.

God's Call To Sinners
